The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Vikings spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
The Lindberg pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 6 they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Chris Braswell is a better player than the 42nd overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Cooper Beebe in the Round 3 slot. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Good price on Isaiah Davis in No. 185, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They reached a country mile for Chad Lindberg at the 212th pick, and the board is aghast. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
DeMonte Capehart at Round 7, Pick 10 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It fills a real need, too.
