Minnesota Vikings
McCarthy is the plan now, and the Vikings grade out a B.
Start where it matters. The Vikings took J.J. McCarthy to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
