The phones were a trap the Raiders kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.
On value alone, White makes the weekend a net positive. The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter.
Every board in the league had Schrader lower, and that gap is the story. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 10 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A real need, handled.
Cooper DeJean at the 50th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Leonard Taylor III slipping to Round 3, Pick 12 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Tate Ratledge at No. 112 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A tidy little value on Shemar Turner in the 137th pick, a step better than break-even. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Khyree Jackson in the Round 5 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They talked themselves into Cody Schrader at slot 156, and the board did not agree. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A conviction pick on Darius Robinson at pick No. 190 that the board grades a round light. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They robbed the room for Ricky White here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
