When a board-topper like Trente Jones slides to No. 253, you do not overthink it, and the Eagles did not.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 8 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
Quantity was the play, for better or worse.
Hit on Nate Wiggins and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Nate Wiggins. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They did well to land Chris Braswell in pick No. 50, just ahead of his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
