Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Logan Brown got past him. The Raiders do not have to explain a thing at slot 215.
The Kiser reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The phones were where this weekend was really won. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Bottom line, with Ashton Jeanty leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 15 they get a lead back with juice, outstanding value to boot.
Walter Nolen in the 37th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Steal is underselling it; Benjamin Morrison at slot 68 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Savion Williams at pick No. 108. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jack Kiser well ahead of where he belonged. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Good price on Nohl Williams in No. 180, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They robbed the room for Raheim Sanders here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It fills a real need, too.
They will replay Logan Brown at pick 215 for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Brady Cook this early at slot 222. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
