Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Raiders, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D+.
Jayden Daniels gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring. The Fisher pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 6 they get a franchise quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
In No. 13 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher at fair value. A real need, handled.
They paid sticker price for Kris Jenkins in pick No. 44, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
No edge and no loss on Mike Sainristil in slot 77; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Blake Fisher in the Round 4 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
