The Raiders lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again.
Everything downstream of Jayden Daniels depends on Jayden Daniels, and the building knows it. They are betting Williams proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Wilson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.

In the 12th overall pick they get a weapon on the perimeter, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
In the 13th pick they get a franchise quarterback. A real need, handled.
Nice patience on Xavier Worthy, who had no business lasting to Round 2, Pick 12. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They robbed the room for Johnny Wilson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
