Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Sataoa Laumea got past him. The Vikings do not have to explain a thing at No. 230. The bottom line is a respectable B.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The Thomas pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Value with a capital V on Marvin Harrison Jr. in No. 11, a genuine coup. A need, and now a little less of one.
They will replay Brock Bowers at the 42nd pick for years; that is how good the value is. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jer'Zhan Newton in slot 108 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A tidy bit of business in the 130th overall pick, where Darius Robinson graded well above the range. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Isaiah Adams in the Round 5 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
