There is conviction, and then there is this. The Eagles took Montrell Johnson Jr. a full 89 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. They banked enough surplus on Trotter Jr. to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
