The Raiders finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B-.
Somebody in Round 7, Pick 14 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Raiders sat still while Frank Gore Jr., the No. 171 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
They have staked the next five years on J.J. McCarthy, which is the only story that really matters here. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
The Cohen pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
