The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Shedeur Sanders, and the whole operation now runs on his development. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
That Neal pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The cost of the Beck reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a franchise quarterback at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
You do not let a tight end like Harold Fannin Jr. reach the 65th overall pick and blink. They did not. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Carson Beck in pick 69, miles early. The roster fit checks out.
Donovan Ezeiruaku in slot 103 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A running back of that caliber at pick No. 139 is the definition of value, full stop. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Addison West at Round 6, Pick 3 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Somehow Logan Jones was still sitting there in No. 212, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A tidy bit of business in the 216th pick, where Bryce Foster graded well above the range. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
No drama and no debate, Seth McLaughlin went about where he belonged in slot 217. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
