The rest of the league will want that one back. Cam Skattebo tumbling to the Vikings in Round 5, Pick 22 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
A reasonable price with a little left over, Walter Nolen in the 24th pick. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Dylan Fairchild at slot 97 is the proof. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Somehow Sebastian Castro was still sitting there in the Round 5 slot, and they pounced on premier safety value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They barely believed it either: Cam Skattebo still on the board at pick 159. It fills a real need, too.
