The board owed the Vikings one, and it paid up: Kaleb Johnson, the No. 39 name on the board, sitting there at pick 97 like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
