Some picks age like wine; Andrew Raym at No. 177 will need to, sitting 62 spots clear of his grade.
The whole projection now runs through Drake Maye; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up.
That Phillips pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 3 they get the arm they will build around. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Andru Phillips at the 108th pick is the proof. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Christian Jones at pick No. 129 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They paid a round early for Kamal Hadden in No. 157, more than the board wanted. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Myles Cole in the 167th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Andrew Raym at pick 177 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
