If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The veteran additions, Justin Fields chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 13 they get a long-term starter on the line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Mike Sainristil at the 77th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
By-the-book stuff, Beau Brade at the 106th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Leonard Taylor III. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A straight-up fair deal on Dillon Johnson at the Round 4 slot, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
