Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Raiders never addressed edge rusher, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
They are betting Ulofoshio proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 13 they get protection for the quarterback. Exactly the need they had to hit.
T.J. Tampa in Round 2, Pick 12 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Michael Hall Jr. in slot 77 is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
MarShawn Lloyd at the 112th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
McCallan Castles at the 150th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They did well to land Bru McCoy in No. 190, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Edefuan Ulofoshio in pick No. 234 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
