The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Raiders watched TreVeyon Henderson slide 46 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Milroe reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a three-down runner, outstanding value to boot.
Jalen Milroe in No. 37 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Steal is underselling it; Jalon Walker at the 55th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Jalen Royals at pick No. 68 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Andrew Mukuba in slot 73 is fair value, right on his grade. A minor itch, scratched.
Somehow TreVeyon Henderson was still sitting there in the 107th overall pick, and they pounced on premier running back value. It fills a real need, too.
Maxwell Hairston in Round 4, Pick 21 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
