Start where it matters. The Raiders took Bo Nix to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.
They are betting Eichenberg proves the room right and everyone else wrong. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. However the rest shakes out, Lovett at that price is a win they earned.
Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Bo Nix. The roster fit checks out.
They liked Jermaine Burton enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 2, Pick 14. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Tommy Eichenberg at pick 78 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A minor itch, scratched.
A straight-up fair deal on Jason Marshall Jr. at the Round 4 slot, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They reached into another round for Bryce Foster, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They robbed the room for Dominic Lovett here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
