Start where it matters. The Raiders took Quinn Ewers to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
They will need Lee III to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 7 they get their quarterback of the future at fair value. A real need, handled.
Xavier Nwankpa at slot 39 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A tidy bit of business in the Round 3 slot, where Tate Ratledge graded well above the range. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A real head-scratcher, Will Lee III in Round 4, Pick 7 is miles ahead of his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Nice patience on Fernando Carmona Jr., who had no business lasting to the 135th overall pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They took Terrence Ferguson II at par in No. 167, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Good price on Preston Stone in pick 199, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
