Las Vegas Raiders

A costly weekend of dealing drags the Raiders to a D.

by Jackrice0405 · 2025 NFL Draft · 19 picks · 13 steals · 5 reaches
Value B-

Future F

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Raiders reached some 175 spots for Jasheen Davis, and value like that does not grow back. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. That Bond pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.12 · Pick 12 · Tetairoa McMillan · WR · rank 11
They paid sticker price for Tetairoa McMillan in pick No. 12, and that is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R2.5 · Pick 37 · Trey Amos · CB · rank 50
They paid up for Trey Amos at pick 37 when waiting would have done the job. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R2.25 · Pick 57 · Will Howard · QB · rank 102
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Will Howard. The roster fit checks out.
R2.32 · Pick 64 · TreVeyon Henderson · RB · rank 55
TreVeyon Henderson in No. 64 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A need, and now a little less of one.
R3.4 · Pick 68 · Kyle McCord · QB · rank 117
They left a pile of value on the table to take Kyle McCord this early at Round 3, Pick 4. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R4.9 · Pick 111 · Savion Williams · WR · rank 90
Steal is underselling it; Savion Williams at the 111th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R4.19 · Pick 121 · Isaiah Bond · WR · rank 76
Circle this one: Isaiah Bond at the 121st overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R4.28 · Pick 130 · Anthony Belton · OT · rank 110
Taking Anthony Belton in the Round 4 slot is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R5.2 · Pick 140 · Cam Skattebo · RB · rank 100
The board fumbled Cam Skattebo all the way to No. 140, and they scooped it up. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.8 · Pick 146 · Cobee Bryant · CB · rank 121
They barely believed it either: Cobee Bryant still on the board at the 146th pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R5.19 · Pick 157 · Jacob Parrish · CB · rank 118
A cornerback of that caliber at pick No. 157 is the definition of value, full stop. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R5.25 · Pick 163 · Mello Dotson · CB · rank 134
They robbed the room for Mello Dotson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R6.4 · Pick 180 · Jasheen Davis · DL-EDGE · rank 355
Jasheen Davis at Round 6, Pick 4 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R6.37 · Pick 213 · Quincy Riley · CB · rank 177
You do not let a cornerback like Quincy Riley reach slot 213 and blink. They did not. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R7.6 · Pick 222 · Dont'e Thornton Jr. · WR · rank 180
Dont'e Thornton Jr. at pick No. 222 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R7.14 · Pick 230 · Jaylen Reed · S · rank 188
Jaylen Reed in the 230th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R7.19 · Pick 235 · Jay Higgins · LB · rank 198
Jay Higgins in Round 7, Pick 19 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A minor itch, scratched.
R7.28 · Pick 244 · Ricky White III · WR · rank 214
Ricky White III at pick 244 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R7.41 · Pick 257 · De'Corian Clark · WR · rank 304
A wild overpay on De'Corian Clark in the 257th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
