Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Kamren Kinchens got past him. The Eagles do not have to explain a thing at the 124th overall pick.
They will need Gore Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 22 they get a double-digit-sack hope. The biggest hole, addressed.
Payton Wilson in Round 2, Pick 18 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They talked themselves into Cooper Beebe at pick No. 53, and the board did not agree. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Steal is underselling it; Xavier Legette at the Round 3 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
