Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Eagles, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. It grades a D, and the process earned it.
The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They will answer for taking linebacker early while interior defensive lineman went begging.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Nesbit at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 5th overall pick they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a matchup problem out wide. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A tidy bit of business in the Round 2 slot, where Chop Robinson graded well above the range. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Edgerrin Cooper at the 59th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor itch, scratched.
Adisa Isaac at pick 66 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on D.J. James. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
No drama and no debate, Zach Frazier went about where he belonged in No. 69. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They zigged when the board said zag, taking Payton Wilson at linebacker with interior defensive lineman open.
Jamari Thrash in slot 97 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They took Tykee Smith at par in Round 4, Pick 3, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Bucky Irving slipping to the 104th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 4 slot with a little surplus value in Isaiah Adams. The roster fit checks out.
They paid sticker price for Cedric Gray in pick No. 137, and that is fine. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Cole Bishop in pick 142 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Moose Muhammad III in No. 156 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
LaDarius Henderson at the 174th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, J. Michael Sturdivant at No. 178. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They read the board right and Bryson Nesbit was the payoff at the 212th pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
Jase McClellan slid further than he should have, and Round 7, Pick 25 is lovely value for the running back. It fills a real need, too.
Good price on J.J. Weaver in the Round 7 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
