The rest of the league will want that one back. Khyree Jackson tumbling to the Eagles in No. 147 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 26 they get a bendy edge with upside, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Chris Braswell. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Good price on Quinyon Mitchell in pick 58, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Kiran Amegadjie slipping to the 110th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A need, and now a little less of one.
No drama and no debate, Cedric Gray went about where he belonged in the Round 4 slot. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Jaden Hicks at slot 139 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Payton Wilson at the 140th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Cade Stover in Round 5, Pick 5 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board fumbled Khyree Jackson all the way to pick 147, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Fair-plus on Antwaun Powell-Ryland, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Devin Neal in Round 5, Pick 20 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It fills a real need, too.
Javion Cohen at the 161st overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tre Harris at slot 176. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They let Lathan Ransom come to them and pounced at the Round 6 slot. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
