The Raiders spent the pick that matters most on Bo Nix, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If Nix pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Rosemy-Jacksaint.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 13 they get their quarterback of the future, reach and all.
A straight-up fair deal on Cooper Beebe at the 44th pick, value and slot in agreement. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They took Austin Booker at par in the 77th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Nice patience on Andru Phillips, who had no business lasting to Round 4, Pick 12. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A premium they did not need to pay, Isaiah Davis a notch or two before his time. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at slot 208 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Eric Watts in the Round 7 slot is fair value, right on his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A tidy little value on Trey Knox in pick No. 229, a step better than break-even. It fills a real need, too.
