The Eagles bet big and early on Kenny Logan Jr., 125 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
On value alone, Torrence makes the weekend a net positive. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They went 6 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
No edge and no loss on Quinyon Mitchell in No. 22; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A straight-up fair deal on Payton Wilson at slot 50, value and slot in agreement. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They took Kingsley Suamataia at par in the 53rd pick, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Brenden Rice in the 98th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Dylan Laube in Round 5, Pick 25 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They talked themselves into Kenny Logan Jr. at pick No. 171, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A big swing on Logan Lee at pick 172, well ahead of any board in the building. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They paid sticker price for Trente Jones in the 187th overall pick, and that is fine. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Ro Torrence at No. 210 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
