After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Cardinals committed. Shedeur Sanders is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.
That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They banked enough surplus on Sanders to cover a lot of smaller sins.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
