The rest of the league had time to spare on Garrett Dellinger; the Raiders did not wait, grabbing him 75 spots ahead at pick No. 222. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Blue steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 20 they get an anchor for the offensive line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Emeka Egbuka at slot 33 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
No drama and no debate, Jihaad Campbell went about where he belonged in the 37th overall pick. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Xavier Watts at the Round 2 slot. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Quinshon Judkins at pick 68 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Steal is underselling it; Dylan Sampson at No. 80 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jalen Milroe at the 108th pick is the proof. A need, and now a little less of one.
A wide receiver of that caliber at slot 122 is the definition of value, full stop. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Jacob Parrish at No. 143 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Clay Webb in pick 180 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Ty Hamilton in the Round 6 slot, miles early. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They robbed the room for Jaydon Blue here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jaylin Lane at pick No. 213 is a conviction pick that outran the value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Isaac TeSlaa at the 215th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They reached a country mile for Garrett Dellinger at pick No. 222, and the board is aghast. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
