The Garrett Dellinger selection is the head-turner. The Raiders reached 62 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
Paul Jr. at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The phones were where this weekend was really won.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 20 they get a weapon on the perimeter at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
A tidy bit of business in pick 33, where Armand Membou graded well above the range. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Jihaad Campbell at slot 37 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Xavier Watts at the Round 2 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Value with a capital V on TreVeyon Henderson in the 67th pick, a genuine coup. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Fair-plus on Quinshon Judkins, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It fills a real need, too.
A slide stopped in pick 104, with Jalen Milroe worth more than the price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Nice patience on Jaylin Noel, who had no business lasting to the 108th pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They robbed the room for Chris Paul Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Bhayshul Tuten at the Round 6 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A need, and now a little less of one.
The board fumbled Dont'e Thornton Jr. all the way to slot 213, and they scooped it up. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Jordan Hancock in Round 6, Pick 39 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
A big swing on Garrett Dellinger at No. 222, well ahead of any board in the building. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
