The one they had to fix is still broken. The Eagles left interior defensive lineman untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
The cost of the Trotter Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 27th overall pick they get a true top target. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A reach on Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in No. 50; the board had better options right there. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
No drama and no debate, Javon Bullard went about where he belonged in slot 59. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Bucky Irving in the Round 3 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A tidy little value on Kamal Hadden in the 137th pick, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Nothing to complain about; Keith Randolph Jr. went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Jaylan Ford at pick 172 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
They took Julian Pearl at par in pick No. 178, which is nothing to complain about. Where it fits the depth chart is the real question.
A straight-up fair deal on Demorie Tate at the 248th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
