There is conviction, and then there is this. The Eagles took Ray Davis a full 88 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. With cornerback, edge rusher and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on defensive back is the choice that costs them. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Hartman.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

If Tyler Nubin and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
