You build a draft on nights like this. Smael Mondon Jr. had no business being available in Round 7, Pick 26, and the Eagles did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.
A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
Tyler Warren in the 46th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
TreVeyon Henderson in Round 2, Pick 32 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
By-the-book stuff, Shemar Turner at pick No. 129 squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Steal is underselling it; Lathan Ransom at slot 162 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Carson Schwesinger at the Round 5 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They barely believed it either: Quinshon Judkins still on the board at No. 169. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Somehow Smael Mondon Jr. was still sitting there in pick 244, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
