Start where it matters. The Raiders took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
The Lindberg pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Corley falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The phones were where this weekend was really won.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 3 they get the face of the franchise at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Troy Fautanu is a better player than the Round 2 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Mike Sainristil in slot 77 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Malachi Corley in Round 4, Pick 13 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Somehow Sataoa Laumea was still sitting there in No. 147, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Braelon Allen at the 181st overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
The board fumbled LaDarius Henderson all the way to the 190th pick, and they scooped it up. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Chad Lindberg at pick 231 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
