The Eagles did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Nehemiah Pritchett fell into the Round 5 slot.
The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Knox left real value on the table behind him. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 22nd pick they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A tidy little value on Chris Braswell in slot 50, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Kingsley Suamataia in pick 53 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Cedric Gray in No. 120. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They let Tykee Smith come to them and pounced at pick No. 168. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Nehemiah Pritchett at Round 5, Pick 35 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Steal is underselling it; Mason McCormick at the Round 5 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A reach for Trey Knox in the 210th overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
