The Cardinals spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jonathon Brooks, the No. 59 name on the board, in the Round 3 slot.
With quarterback, tight end and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Braswell pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

The board had cheaper options than Taliese Fuaga at the 17th pick, and it noticed. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

A conviction pick on Jackson Powers-Johnson at the 71st overall pick that the board grades a round light. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Jonathon Brooks at Round 3, Pick 17 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
