Some picks age like wine; MarShawn Lloyd at Round 3, Pick 34 will need to, sitting 31 spots clear of his grade. The bottom line is a respectable B.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Mitchell value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 22 they get a potential shutdown corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They let Tyler Guyton come to them and pounced at the Round 2 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Adonai Mitchell in the 54th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A big swing on MarShawn Lloyd at the 97th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They read the board right and Cole Bishop was the payoff at pick No. 137. The roster fit checks out.
Jaylan Ford in No. 163 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Edefuan Ulofoshio at Round 5, Pick 36 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Trey Knox at No. 178 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
