There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Eagles started one anyway for Myles Cole, 84 picks ahead of schedule.
However the rest shakes out, King at that price is a win they earned. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 22 they get a cornerstone up front. A clean fit for the roster.
They reached a country mile for Darius Robinson at slot 54, and the board is aghast. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Steal is underselling it; Kalen King at pick No. 76 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Audric Estime in the 97th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
They paid sticker price for Jaheim Bell in the 137th overall pick, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They reached into another round for Myles Cole, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Gabe Hall in the 172nd pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Kitan Oladapo in the 178th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Myles Jones at Round 7, Pick 13 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Somehow Zakhari Franklin was still sitting there in slot 243, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
