The Eagles went off the board in a big way for Will Lee III, 103 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. However the rest shakes out, Dart at that price is a win they earned.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 27 they get a disruptor off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Earnest Greene III in Round 2, Pick 17 is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
By-the-book stuff, Donovan Jackson at pick No. 64 squarely in line with his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Nick Emmanwori in No. 81 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
The board fumbled Nicholas Singleton all the way to the 89th pick, and they scooped it up. It fills a real need, too.
They will replay Jaxson Dart at the Round 3 slot for years; that is how good the value is. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Elic Ayomanor at pick 128 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Value said wait; Bryson Nesbit in slot 155 says they were not listening. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They reached a country mile for J.C. Davis at the 162nd pick, and the board is aghast. The roster fit checks out.
T.J. Sanders in the Round 6 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A big swing on Cody Simon at Round 6, Pick 34, well ahead of any board in the building. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Will Lee III in pick No. 255, miles early. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
