You can hear the double-takes from here. The Eagles took Jackson Powers-Johnson at No. 22, roughly 29 spots before his name belonged. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
However the rest shakes out, Jordan at that price is a win they earned. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 21 they get an island corner, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
In the 22nd pick they get a building block for the line, though the board says they badly overpaid.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Darius Robinson well ahead of where he belonged. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Nothing to complain about; Dadrion Taylor-Demerson went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A conviction pick on Curtis Jacobs at the 171st overall pick that the board grades a round light. It adds depth where they could use a little.
By-the-book stuff, Roger Rosengarten at slot 178 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Kitan Oladapo slipping to Round 6, Pick 11 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It fills a real need, too.
They robbed the room for Jawhar Jordan here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
