There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Eagles started one anyway for Rylie Mills, 150 picks ahead of schedule.

On value alone, Guyton makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.28 · Pick 28 · Nate Wiggins · CB · rank 37
In the 28th overall pick they get a press-man option on the boundary, even if it was a touch early. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.13 · Pick 45 · Keon Coleman · WR · rank 39
Keon Coleman at pick 45 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R2.28 · Pick 60 · TreVeyon Henderson · RB · rank 84
They reached into another round for TreVeyon Henderson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R3.34 · Pick 97 · Tyler Guyton · OT · rank 64
Somehow Tyler Guyton was still sitting there in Round 3, Pick 34, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. The roster fit checks out.
R5.1 · Pick 137 · Cedric Gray · LB · rank 125
A slide stopped in pick No. 137, with Cedric Gray worth more than the price. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R5.20 · Pick 156 · Ben Sinnott · TE · rank 160
Ben Sinnott in No. 156 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
R5.36 · Pick 172 · Nelson Ceaser · DL-EDGE · rank 218
Nelson Ceaser in the Round 5 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R6.3 · Pick 178 · Zy Alexander · CB · rank 163
Zy Alexander at Round 6, Pick 3 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R6.10 · Pick 185 · Jack Nelson · OT · rank 173
Jack Nelson is a better player than No. 185 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R6.20 · Pick 195 · Josh Proctor · S · rank 295
Value said wait; Josh Proctor in pick No. 195 says they were not listening. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R7.29 · Pick 249 · Rylie Mills · DL-EDGE · rank 399
They talked themselves into Rylie Mills at pick 249, and the board did not agree. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
