The Ulofoshio reach set a tone the Eagles could not shake: F.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Eagles did exactly that with Edefuan Ulofoshio in No. 149.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Sainristil. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered.

There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.19 · Pick 19 · Jackson Powers-Johnson · C · rank 32
In Round 1, Pick 19 they get a plug-and-play piece up front, reach and all. A real need, handled.
R1.22 · Pick 22 · Adonai Mitchell · WR · rank 31
In pick 22 they get a difference-maker at receiver, even if it was a touch early. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.18 · Pick 50 · Junior Colson · LB · rank 52
No edge and no loss on Junior Colson in No. 50; it is a wash and a sensible one. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R2.21 · Pick 53 · Christian Mahogany · OG · rank 98
Christian Mahogany in the 53rd overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R3.33 · Pick 96 · Mike Sainristil · CB · rank 75
They barely believed it either: Mike Sainristil still on the board at the 96th pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R4.14 · Pick 114 · Ben Sinnott · TE · rank 129
Ben Sinnott at slot 114 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The roster fit checks out.
R4.15 · Pick 115 · Luke McCaffrey · WR · rank 149
A wild overpay on Luke McCaffrey in pick 115, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R4.20 · Pick 120 · Christian Jones · OT · rank 132
The board had cheaper options than Christian Jones at slot 120, and it noticed. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R5.13 · Pick 149 · Edefuan Ulofoshio · LB · rank 236
Value said wait; Edefuan Ulofoshio in No. 149 says they were not listening. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
R5.25 · Pick 161 · Malik Mustapha · S · rank 170
They jumped the gun on Malik Mustapha, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R5.35 · Pick 171 · Zion Tupuola-Fetui · DE-EDGE · rank 215
They reached into another round for Zion Tupuola-Fetui, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R5.36 · Pick 172 · Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint · WR · rank 195
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at the Round 5 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R6.35 · Pick 210 · Jordan Whittington · WR · rank 248
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jordan Whittington in Round 6, Pick 35, miles early. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
