Every other box got a look, but wide receiver did not. The Eagles will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
However the rest shakes out, Davis at that price is a win they earned. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
They took Chop Robinson at par in pick No. 22, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Edgerrin Cooper in the Round 2 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Kamari Lassiter in pick 53 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Blake Fisher at Round 4, Pick 20 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Hunter Nourzad. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A slide stopped in the 171st overall pick, with Isaiah Davis worth more than the price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Value with a capital V on Jaheim Bell in No. 172, a genuine coup. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jared Wiley in the 210th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
