The Eagles went off the board in a big way for Edefuan Ulofoshio, 80 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Hadden. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
By-the-book stuff, Terrion Arnold at pick No. 22 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Kingsley Suamataia in the 50th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Malachi Corley. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Mohamed Kamara in Round 3, Pick 34 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Isaiah Davis in the Round 5 slot is fair value, right on his grade. It fills a real need, too.
A big swing on Edefuan Ulofoshio at the 170th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Jared Wiley at slot 171 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Kamal Hadden in the 188th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
No edge and no loss on Cornelius Johnson in the Round 6 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Fair-plus on Trevin Wallace, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
They did well to land KT Leveston in Round 7, Pick 21, just ahead of his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
