The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Cam Ward, pick 162, roughly 155 picks past where he belonged.
They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Steal is underselling it; Travis Hunter at pick No. 32 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Taking Walter Nolen in pick 64 is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They barely believed it either: Ashton Jeanty still on the board at Round 3, Pick 32. A need, and now a little less of one.
Colston Loveland in slot 129 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Cam Ward at the 162nd overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Somehow Josaiah Stewart was still sitting there in No. 166, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
