The board owed the Vikings one, and it paid up: TreVeyon Henderson, the No. 60 name on the board, sitting there at pick 138 like a gift left on the doorstep. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Kenneth Grant in the 30th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It fills a real need, too.
They will replay Jalen Royals at Round 3, Pick 25 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board fumbled Andrew Mukuba all the way to No. 90, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Fair-plus on Jake Majors, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Circle this one: Barrett Carter at pick 107 is a fall that decides a draft. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Malachi Moore in slot 108 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
TreVeyon Henderson at the Round 5 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The roster fit checks out.
A running back of that caliber at pick No. 159 is the definition of value, full stop. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
