The Eagles spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Nehemiah Pritchett, the No. 143 name on the board, in pick No. 171. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 22 they get a bendy edge with upside, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Tyler Nubin in slot 50. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A straight-up fair deal on Junior Colson at No. 53, value and slot in agreement. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Jarvis Brownlee Jr. in Round 4, Pick 20 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They let Trevor Keegan come to them and pounced at the 161st overall pick. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Nehemiah Pritchett in the 171st pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A tidy bit of business in the Round 5 slot, where Dylan Laube graded well above the range. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They robbed the room for Cornelius Johnson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
