The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Shedeur Sanders, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Walker. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 14th overall pick they get the face of the franchise. A clean fit for the roster.
They liked Jermaine Burton enough to skip the value, taking him in No. 46. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Nothing to complain about; Blake Corum went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Jaheim Bell at slot 114 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A need, and now a little less of one.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Darius Robinson in the Round 5 slot. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A wide receiver of that caliber at pick 192 is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They robbed the room for Jordan Whittington here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
