Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Eagles came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.
That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 26 they get a ballhawk on the outside at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
No edge and no loss on Edgerrin Cooper in the 50th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
No drama and no debate, Xavier Worthy went about where he belonged in slot 53. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Cole Bishop in pick No. 120. The roster fit checks out.
Kalen King at pick 161 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Dillon Johnson at the Round 5 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A need, and now a little less of one.
Ty'Ron Hopper in pick No. 210 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
