The Eagles put a flag in the ground for Trey Moore, 167 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
On value alone, Judkins makes the weekend a net positive. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.
Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
Taking Isaiah Bond in No. 54 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Sai'vion Jones at the Round 3 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Somehow Malachi Moore was still sitting there in slot 92, and they pounced on premier safety value. It fills a real need, too.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Trey Moore. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Deontae Lawson at Round 4, Pick 8 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A tidy bit of business in the 114th overall pick, where Ajani Cornelius graded well above the range. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They robbed the room for Mason Taylor here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The roster fit checks out.
Azareye'h Thomas at the Round 5 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They barely believed it either: Quinshon Judkins still on the board at slot 156. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A big swing on Phillip Webb at the 161st overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A straight-up fair deal on Jaeden Roberts at pick No. 163, value and slot in agreement. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Rod Moore at Round 6, Pick 13 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
