Milroe at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

In slot 25 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. A clean fit for the roster.
Tyler Booker in pick 37 is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
No edge and no loss on Demetrius Knight Jr. in Round 2, Pick 26; it is a wash and a sensible one. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They went early on Darien Porter in the Round 3 slot, and the value did not follow. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They read the board right and Jalen Milroe was the payoff at the 108th pick. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Cody Simon is a better player than No. 143 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.

They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing R.J. Mickens in the 213th overall pick. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Carson Vinson in the 215th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
No drama and no debate, Isaac TeSlaa went about where he belonged in pick No. 222. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
