Start where it matters. The Vikings took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Sainristil falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
Tony Pollard gives the group a proven body among the projects.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 11 they get the arm they will build around. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A straight-up fair deal on Jonah Elliss at pick 56, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They paid sticker price for Tommy Eichenberg in the 108th overall pick, and that is fine. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Nehemiah Pritchett at the Round 4 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Mike Sainristil in pick No. 148. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Keith Randolph Jr. in No. 160 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Jasheen Davis in Round 5, Pick 29 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Jacob Cowing in the 179th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Value with a capital V on Jordan Magee in the Round 7 slot, a genuine coup. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
